Scotty Hofer, Head Girls Golf Coach
Coach Scotty Hofer joins the Girls Golf program in 2012 and has been with the Boys program since 2009. Coach Hofer also served as an assistant coach in the Girls Golf program in 2011, where the Eagles finished 4th in 4A. He looks to build on this success and develop the program to be consistently ranked high in the state. When asked about his purpose in coaching, Coach Hofer said it is “to help young men and women grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ as they strive for excellence in the sport of golf.” He desires that each one of his athletes display attitudes and actions that bring glory to God no matter the outcome of their performance on the course.

Girls Golf Continues to Dominate in League

The Valor Girls Golf team concluded their Jeffco League matches with an exclamation point last Monday in the Ashley Forey Tournament held at the challenging Rolling Hills course. Valor's team score of 351 outpaced second place D'Evelyn by fifty-six shots (407). Evergreen came in third with a team score of 411.Tori Glenn led the way with an 83, followed by Laura Cohan with 86, Sarah Belmear with 88 and Ashley Roo with 94.

League honors were awarded after the final Jeffco tournament and Valor captured the League Championship. Individually the Valor girls were awarded four of the seven First Team All League honors - Tori Glenn, Laura Cohan, Sarah Belmear and Ashley Roo. The tournament also had 5A schools competing with the Jeffco League 4A teams and Valor placed 4th (257) behind Arapahoe (232), Cherry Creek (234) and Fairview (251).
