Stellar Season Comes to an End
Valiant Effort in Final Four
March 10, 2012
The Valor Boys Basketball team finished their season with a loss in the Semifinal game versus the #1 team in the state, Lewis-Palmer. The Eagles put forth a great effort and laid everything on the line in a hard fought game. The final score was 70-59, but the Eagles kept it within 5-7 points throughout the game. It was a great community event and the Valor faithful showed up at Boulder.
It was a very successful year for the team on many different levels. They played with great heart and character throughout the season as it was very clear they would be the big game for every opponent on their schedule. While it was a very challenging schedule for the Eagles, Valor came up with wins over Eaglecrest, Cheyenne Mountain, Green Mountain, D’Evelyn, Golden, Pueblo East and Kennedy, all of which spent some time in the Top Ten Rankings this season.
Valor brought home the Jim Baggot Regional Championship and was named the Rebel Roundball Tournament Champion and also Jeffco League Tournament Champion.
This group of young men represented Valor well and also represented the tradition of ‘Band of Brothers’ as solid relationships formed.
