VALOR CAMPS
With over 700 campers participating in anything from baseball and tennis to football and lacrosse, 2011 Valor Camps were a huge success. We are excited to offer 20 camps for the 2012 season. Cost of each camp is $150 (Golf - $250). If you sign up for more than one camp in the same transaction you will receive 10% off automatically.

Week of July 9, 2012

Baseball (3rd-5th)
Let the “Young Men” of Valor Christian take your players through a regular day of practice at our school. The purpose of this camp is to gain exposure to the many different stations that we provide to our high school players. Our goal is that our players get to know your players as we take them through our five-day camp. Defense, Offense and Power training will allow your athletes to feel just like a “Varsity starter.” In addition, our coaches will take the campers through a five-day devotional series designed to develop everyone involved into strong Christian young men. Come find out what separates our Valor program from everyone else.

Co-Ed Beginner Basketball (K-3rd)
This five-day co-ed camp is a teaching program for our younger basketball players. Players will be grouped by age and ability. Teaching stations are given twice a day with emphasis on skill development, building confidence, teamwork and the development of Christian young men and women. There will be 5-on-5 and 3-on-3 competitions every day, and every player will receive equal attention and time on the court. The camp will culminate on Friday with championship games and awards. This camp will grow young men and women in both their faith and their basketball skills!

Co-Ed Beginner Tennis (3rd-5th)
This five-day camp is an introductory camp to the game of tennis. The co-ed camp is designed to teach tennis fundamentals while instilling a love for the game. This camp will prove valuable for all, whether the players are learning the beginning skills of the game or trying to fine-tune their court strategies! Teaching stations are given twice a day with emphasis on skill development, building confidence, teamwork and the development of young Christian men and women. There will be daily competitions and every player will receive equal attention and time on the court. The camp will culminate on Friday with championship games and awards.

This five-day co-ed camp is a teaching program for throwers of all abilities and experience. Fundamentals and technique work will be taught daily with emphasis on skill development, building confidence and the development of Christian young men and women. The basics of shot put and discus will be taught to all campers. The camp will culminate on Friday with a competition and awards. This camp will grow young men and women in both their faith and their throwing skills.

Sprints, Starts and Speed (3rd-8th)
This five-day co-ed camp is a technical teaching progression of speed development, sprinting and start mechanics. As an athlete in the camp, you will learn to develop speed, power, coordination and strength with the most current training methods available. Campers will receive top-quality instruction, testing and evaluation with emphasis on skill development, building confidence and the development of Christian young men and women. The camp will culminate on Friday with a competition and awards. This camp will grow young men and women in both their faith and their sprinting skills.

This five-day camp is a teaching program for beginners to advanced softball players. Whether you are a first-time softball player in need of the basics of pitching and hitting, or you are an elite player wrapping up a grueling season, the Valor Softball Camp will benefit your game and will remind you why you love this sport! You will develop both offensive and defensive skills as a player. The camp is designed to improve all aspects of softball: hitting, bunting, slapping, infield, outfield, catching, base-running, pitching, speed and agility. The camp will culminate on Friday with championship games and awards.

This five day camp is a teaching program for beginners to advanced players. Players are grouped by age and ability. At Valor Lacrosse Camp we use interactive drills stressing fundamentally sound techniques while incorporating styles of play used at the advanced levels of lacrosse, giving each player the tools to become the type of lacrosse player they aspire to be. The camp will culminate on Friday with championship games and awards.
Additional Information: Campers should bring their own lacrosse equipment.

Co-Ed Soccer (K-6th)
This five-day camp is for both new and experienced players who love and play the game of soccer. “Beginning” players will be given the fundamentals and encouraged. “Advanced” players will be challenged with higher level training. Either way, the Valor staff will pour into your children each day to take them to the next level in their skills and understanding of the vital tactics of the game. Daily devotionals will be combined with skill development to make this a can’t miss camp! The camp will culminate on Friday with championship games and awards.

This five-day camp is a teaching program for beginners to intermediate players entering grades three through six in the fall of 2012. Players are grouped by age and ability. Teaching stations are given twice a day with emphasis on skill development, building confidence, teamwork, and the development of Christian young women. There will be daily competitions, and every player will receive equal attention and time on the court. The camp will culminate on Friday with championship games and awards.

Girls Lacrosse (3rd-8th)
This five day camp is a program built for players at all levels - beginners to advanced players. The girls will be grouped according to age and ability. Each girl will get the attention and one-on-one coaching guaranteed to raise her level of play up over the course of the week. Players will work through stations and drills which include stick work, skill development and overall game knowledge. This camp is for every girl who wants to build her lacrosse skills, confidence, teamwork and develop as young Christian woman.

Junior High Volleyball (7th-8th)
This five-day camp is a teaching program for volleyball athletes entering grades seven and eight in the fall of 2012. Players are grouped by age and ability (from high performance/club athletes to basic skills athletes). Teaching stations are given twice a day with emphasis on skill development, building confidence, teamwork, and the development of Christian young women. There will be daily competitions, and every player will receive individual attention daily from their coach and time on the court. The camp will culminate on Friday with championship games and awards.

Co-Ed Golf Camp (3rd-8th)
This five-day camp is a teaching program for beginning to intermediate players. Valor coaches, along with MetaGolf's staff, will be dedicated to helping campers learn and enjoy golf in a fun and safe environment; as well as improving and establishing the fundamentals of the game. Each day will include group and individualized instruction, as well as games and contests that give campers a grasp of the game. Instruction will be scheduled on a rotational basis covering all aspects of golf including: set up, alignment, full swing, grip, putting, chipping, pitching, sand play, tempo, and course management. Camp will be held at the MetaGolf Learning Center in Englewood. A recent Golf Magazine report listed McGetrick Golf Academy (now MetaGolf) as one of the Top Ten teaching facilities in the US. In addition to daily devotionals, the first four days will include instruction, while the last day (Friday) will conclude with playing on Broken Tee Par 3 Course at a designated tee time.

Full Contact Football (3rd-8th) - July 26-29
This full-contact padded camp is a teaching program for young men desiring to develop their skills of tackle football, helping teach the fundamentals necessary for players to compete at a high level. Students will be instructed in important safety precautions needed for competing in tackle football, blocking and tackling fundamentals, proper footwork and agility, as well as passing, catching and running skills. There will also be an emphasis on developing Christian leadership traits. Players are grouped by age and ability. Whether you have played for years or are new to tackle football, this camp will help in developing your skills!

Poms (3rd-8th)
This five day camp is a teaching camp for dancers beginner to advanced. Dancers will be separated by ability. This camp will teach skills in all forms of dance including Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop, all with a Pom's approach. Also including an emphasis on technical development, building confidence, teamwork, and the development of Christian young women. The camp will culminate on Thursday with a performance of a Pom's routine and awards.
